Subscriptions

Restore Premium on a new phone. Open Kymo › You › the gear (Settings) › Kymo Premium › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account you subscribed with.

Cancel or change your plan. Settings › Kymo Premium › Manage subscription in the app, or:

  • iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Kymo.
  • Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Kymo.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Refunds are handled by the store: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android through Google Play’s order history. We can’t issue refunds directly.

Redeem an offer code. Settings › Kymo Premium › Redeem an offer code.

Heart readings

How to take one. Rest a fingertip lightly over the back camera and the flash, so it covers both. Hold still for 60 seconds, seated, with your hand resting on something. The countdown only moves while the signal is steady.

“The signal kept moving.” Usually the fingertip moved or pressed too hard. Try again with a lighter touch, warm hands and your arm supported. A cold finger or nail polish can weaken the signal.

“This device can’t take a heart reading.” The reading needs a back camera with a flash. Sessions work exactly the same without it.

The flash gets warm. That’s normal after a minute of the flash being on; stop if it’s uncomfortable.

Why my number differs from my watch. Heart readings are estimates and can differ from a watch or chest strap. Kymo is a wellness app, not a medical device; check with a doctor before making health decisions. How it works: kymo-breathwork.pages.dev/heart-reading/.

Sound and voice

No sound. Check the volume and that sound is on in Settings › Sound and voice. Kymo plays through the silent switch during sessions.

Binaural beats need headphones with both earbuds in. They’re for relaxation, not a treatment for anything.

Sound stops when I lock the phone. Eyes-closed and voice-guided sessions, the sound that plays on after Sleep, and a Focus bed you chose to keep playing while you work keep playing with the phone locked; other sessions pause and wait for you. Headphones disconnecting or a call also pause the session.

How long the sound plays on. After Sleep the soundscape plays on for 20 minutes, then fades out; tap the screen to see the time left, or tap Stop sound. For other quiet endings, choose the minutes in Settings › Sound and voice › Soundscape › Keep the sound playing.

Reminders

Not getting reminders. Check that Daily reminders is on in Settings › Plan and reminders and that notifications are allowed for Kymo in your phone’s settings. On Android, also check that battery optimization isn’t stopping Kymo. A reminder backs off if its time of day goes unused for a few days, and comes back as soon as you do that session again.

Apple Health

Kymo saves sessions as Mindful Minutes when Settings › Apple Health is on. It only writes; it never reads your health data. To change access: in the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Kymo.

Your data

Everything Kymo stores is on your phone: sessions, readings, your plan and settings. To delete it all, open Settings › Erase all data, or delete the app. Read the privacy policy.

Breathing safely

Breathe comfortably and never force it. If you feel dizzy, light-headed, tingly or short of breath, stop and breathe normally. Sit or lie down for fast breathing and long holds, and never practice in or near water or while driving. If you’re pregnant, or have a heart, lung or seizure condition, check with your doctor first. If anxiety or panic feels overwhelming or keeps coming back, talk to a doctor or someone you trust.
